The stars are right for "The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu".

It appears that those three guys from the comic book store, you know the ones, always together and always immersed in some hypothetical debate over which super hero has the greatest powers….yeah, those guys; are about to be gifted with a real adventure… and a release date.

Shock Till You Drop is reporting that “The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu”, will be released on February 15th, a year after it was acquired by Dark Sky Films. The film tells the story of Kyle, a slacker who is the last descendant of horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. Kyle is entrusted with a relic that he and his buddies must protect from falling into the wrong fins or tentacles as the case may be, to keep the ominous Cthulhu from being released upon the unsuspecting planet.

If cleverly written, “Clerks meets the Fish People,” shock schlock (very light on the shock, I might add) is what you’re looking for, this is your movie.
